Hi, I’m Susan and I am part writer, part artist and trying something new…

My soul longs to create, and to create in community. Are you the creative sort but not sure about where to begin or how to go about building a practice or creating something new? Have you ever been curious about what it takes to create a book, or a work of art, or wanted a backstage pass to the creative process? Would you like to join me on this new journey as I begin crafting my next poetry book along with other projects?

While The Writist will be home to my own journey, and the many facets of living into a creative life. I invite you to come along and join in the ongoing conversation. The Writist will be a place to find encouragement for your own creative work! You’ll have access to posts about the good, bad, and the in-between of doing day to day creative life. My hope is to provide encouragement, and real conversation about the ups and downs of being a creative, offer opportunities to share your own ideas, and along the way I’ll complete a book, start some new projects, and share whatever insight I have to offer.
